Lost secrets are final
If you lose the passphrase or key for a sealed file, nobody can open it again. Cypra keeps no copy and has no recovery process.
Weak passphrases can be guessed
600,000 PBKDF2 rounds make each guess slower, not impossible. Short or common passphrases can still be found by someone who holds the sealed file.
Your device is part of the system
Encryption in the browser cannot protect against malware, a malicious extension or someone watching your screen. Anything you can read, they may be able to read.
On-chain records are public and permanent
Anchors and grants on Robinhood Chain cannot be deleted. They reveal your address, the addresses you grant, timing, and a hash of the sealed file. A grant does not enforce anything: holders of a file and its key can open it regardless of the record.
Software and contracts can have flaws
The site and the CypraGrantBook contract are new and have not been independently reviewed yet. Bugs may exist. Do not rely on them alone for data whose exposure would cause you serious harm.
Links can be forwarded
Anyone holding a full share link can open the file it points to. One-time reads limit fetching from this site; they cannot stop the first reader from keeping a copy.
